On the Project Airbus Forum there can be found a new Remember Me? What's New? Page 1 of 3 1 2 3 Last Jump to page: Results 1 to 10 of Fly Engravity v's Flight Deck Solutions From your experience which one would you consider the most complete straight out of the box???
Cheers, Warren. Fly Engravity!!!!!!!!!!!! Two thumbs up!! IF it's not Boeing I ain't going!!!!!! I agree. I personally Own the Engravity product, and have compared it to FlightDecksolutions.
Engravity all the way. Just to even up the score I checked out both and went for FDS! It really depends on what you want and the extent to which you are prepared to fabricate things youself. For example do you want the option of a complete ready made framework to hold togther the MIP with a MCP tray and support for a glareshield or not Do you want integral backlighting Are hardware items eg knobs, annunciators etc included Check the forums for service feedback, quality issues etc.
Ask the suppliers questions - how quickly do they respond? There is no direct answer to your question - completeness out of the box depends on what you ordered. Each unit independently displays and controls data. Network communication makes it possible to run the module outside of the cockpit environment at any location that can access the ProSim System module. Therefore copy the ProSim CDU directory as often as needed and give it a descriptive name, for instance:. Currently, following specific hardware CDUs are supported, follow the links for setup instructions:.
For backwards compatibility, the same key layout as the other software suppliers is available. If this key layout was used before, nothing has to be changed. ProSim CDU will then start listening to that port. When a connection is made, all CDU states are reported.
Possible reports are:. Inside text strings, some special characters are used which should be replaced according to this table:. In general the default setting should be used. Fonts can only be adjusted for video cable connected CDUs. Start full screen: This will start the program in full screen mode. Preferred host for WebCDU. Show frame: When this option is on, the CDU frame and its buttons will be shown. Turn this option off to display the screen only. Before opening the line select option first select a MCDU page which contains a lot of information, see example image.
The first line LSKR1 should be lighted in a yellow square box. When the first line is configure select the next LSK to perform the configuration again, all until all lines are aligned correctly. The glarewings have pre cut holes for easy installing of the master- and fire switches and sixpacks. Printed circuit board with dual led pushbuttons, test toggle switch and on board SMD leds for backlight of the front panel. Screw terminals on the back of the module allows easy connecting to your interface board.
Complete module with hight bright leds and recall function. Parts are made out of aluminium and have a black anodised finish. Complete module with bright leds and recall function. The attitude indicator is truly a piece of master engineering.
The GSA comes completely assembled and tested. The revolutionary design allows for a very thin instrument that displays a smooth indication of pitch and roll. It is typical of standby gauges in airliners or turboprops. The GSA has a pitch knob for adjusting pitch view. The barber pole points at the VNe velocity never to exceed and this changes along with the altitude. The needle movement is very smooth due to the use of steppermotors.
The altimeter digital comes completely assembled and tested and gives a smooth indication of the altitude thanks to steppermotor technology. The single pointer is driven trough a steppermotor and indicates every ft. The altitude is read out on a digital display, where thousands are indicated slightly larger display than the hundreds.
A seccond digital display show the atmospheric pressure, which is regulated by a single encoder with push function to reset the pressure at transition altitude. The yaw damper gauge reflects the inputsgiven by the autpilot to the rudder trim.
These inputs are not fed back to the rudder pedals, which is why there is an indicator. The clocks works with our propriety software and are easily configurable. They are able to handle time and date, Z. The clock can run on FS time or on real time mode, depending on how it is set up.
The clock can also work as a standalone unit, but you will still need the GSA to have power.
The GSA is based on a single needle gauge is and has the proper faceplate for indication of the brake pressure. The faceplate shows a Boeing brake pressure when applying brakes. The steppermotor gives very smooth needle movements. The steppermotor gives very smooth needle movement.

What if you could now do it wirelessly with your fingertips using an iPad's big screen? And what if you could use just one App for all your favourite planes?
Designed to integrate with the X-Plane flight simulator, AirFMC provides an interface layer to your favourite flight management system and allows you to have a remote, portable and beautiful MCDU, leaving your screen free for enjoying the scenic routes. Using our next generation communications protocol you can now connect AirFMC to your simulator seamlessly and effortlessly. Install a simple plugin and it all happens automatically, on the fly and over the Air; no need to configure anything.
Want a second MCDU for the co-pilot? No problem, just plug it in; our multicast technology allows you to have as many units and flights as you want. Building a home cockpit has just got better; the missing link, the FMC, is now here. It does not have "intelligence" so to say, it does not manage routes nor flight performance parameters.
At least, not yet! What it does is, it connects to planes that already have these systems and provides an interface surface to them.
We're permanently looking at new planes and the possiblity to add support for them so keep an eye as this list is often being extended.
