This part was very simple. Aptitude: There were 24 aptitude based problems. The time limit was 35 minutes. The problems were ranged from cake-walk to easy. Coding Section: This consisted of 2 coding problems.
The time allowed was 70 minutes. The second problem was based on Round Robin Scheduling. Given n processes, their arrival times and burst times, it was required to calculate the average waiting time using Round Robin scheduling. The Round Robin scheduling was not explained in great detail in the problem, hence a lot of students failed to solve the problem.
The interviewer was very friendly. The interview started with discussions on the recent projects I was part of. The discussion lasted for about 15 minutes. He asked me if I was aware of page faults in Operating Systems and asked me about the various page replacement algorithms.
Then he asked me about the LRU cache. I was told to implement its code. Then he asked me about cycle detection in a directed graph.
I had to implement its working code on paper. I was able to solve and implement all the problems and was selected for the internship.

Toshiba's a good brand, Intel is better than Athlon and miles above Celeron for the processor, and with 3 gigabytes memory and GB hard drive, it's a MUCH better deal than the other computers in the same price range.

We had a really nice, expensive one and after a few months we could only use it on a flat surface no laps and a couple months after that something inside it started shorting out and it would randomly turn off, then it would start to load and you'd see the "windows" load screen before it would power off.
DH looked online he's a tech guy and can take apart and fix most computers and said that it was a glitch with a lot of Toshiba models.So this was really weird, i wont touch on the OAS since there are a lot of reference here already and my experience with them are the same. I had the interview in the late afternoon and went on pretty early. A woman entered the call and proceeded asking me LP Questions. She started off by asking me about my self.
Then she asked a few more generic questions such as have you ever make an indepedent decision, and then something else. I was extremely stressed since i spent so much time and work, and really wanted to get into amazon so once I started choking on the question, I knew it was over for me. I tried to catch myself, and she tried to help me, but I couldn't since at that point I knew i messed up.
She eventually stopped me and told me that time was up. She gave me time to ask her a few questions. I asked where she worked, and spoke about something similar I did. Others have outright rejection letter, so I am really confused.
Does this I have a slight chance? Has anyone been in this situation before. I guess my questions is, can they reject me once I get off the waitlist? Being waitlisted usually means that you passed, but they do not have a position open for you. Based on others, it seems that this may be due to visa issues since they can only sponsor so many visas a year.
